Tom Hanks

Tom Hanks-2-1024x767Thomas Jeffrey Hanks (born July 9th, 1956) is an American actor and filmmaker. He is known for his comedic and dramatic role, he is one of the most popular and well-known film stars around the world and is widely regarded as an American iconic cultural figure. Thomas Jeffrey Hanks was the father of Janet Marylyn, a hospital worker, as well as Amos Mefford Hanks (an itinerant chef). His mother was named "Fraga" and his father was predominantly English. Tom was raised in what he describes as a "fractured" family. He was not an actor in college and credits his inability to get a role in a college production with starting his career. He attended a downtown audition for a show in the theater for community members. The director offered him a trip to Cleveland and that was where his acting career began.
